This is a great opportunity for the Rockhampton & Surrounding Areas Alpaca Community to get together - includes breeders and owners of alpacas, equipment and feed suppliers as well as professionals supplying services to the industry such as vets, insurance and finance brokers, accountants, etc.

There will be give aways .... including a lucky door prizes, fun dinner games with more prizes, discounts, speakers, great food and lots of like minded people to share an evening with.

SPEAKERS

• Kelli Pfeiffer, Pfeiffer Park Alpacas: Update report on the worlds largest reserach project into the nutrition requirements of alpacas.
• Carmen Pearson, Dr of Vetinary Science, employed by Acacia Vet Clinic. Lead vet on our research project, will give us an update on the science of what is happening with the research project she is supervising on our farm with the help of the worlds leading Livestock Nutrional Consultant based in USA and Australias leading expert Livestock Nutrional Consultant from WA.

DINNER - Le Bronze Cafe 3 Course Buffet meal:

• Nibbles: biscuits, dip, cheeses, etc
• Main: Cold Meat (beef, pork, chicken, turkey) & Salads (pot bake, coleslaw, mango, green, brocolli) with fresh bread rolls.
• Dessert: Plumb Pudding, Fruit Salad and Trifle, Coffee & Tea
• Dinner Price: Adults $35per person, Children 4-10 ½ price
• Training Price: free if attending the dinner, or $20pp donation to the CQ Community Alpaca Support Fund if not.

FUND RAISER - RAFFLE/GAMES

• CQ Alpaca Community Support Group. Funds raised are for the benefit of alpaca owners/enthusiasts in our local Community that may need a little help - a bit of assistance with a vet bill; feed or transport following flooding; attendance at a training event; attending a show; or help in a personal crisis, etc. Local Breeders: Desely Golightly (Calliandra Goats), Cheryl Cochrane (Nerimbera Alpacas), Desley Barlow (Capricorn Park Alpacas) and Kelli Pfeiffer (Pfeiffer Park Alpacas) preside over the funds and decisions on how it is spent into our alpaca community. More information on last years fund raising and how it was spent will be discussed on the night.
• $50 worth of scratchies on a Neem Tree Raffle, which is useful fodder plant and natural insect repellent for alpacas. Tickets $2ea, tickets now on sale through Kelli Pfeiffer and also on the night. The prize will be drawn and awarded on the night.
• Heads/Tails Game. Participants pay $2 to enter each game - you choose heads/tails/or one of each before the two coins are flipped by putting your hands on head/tail/ or one of each! When the coins drop, those that got it wrong leave the game, those that got it right continue on until one is left. There will be a prize for each game for the winner. This game is brought to you by local breeder: Desley Barlow of Capricorn Park Alpacas.
• Whose the Breeder??? A game where the answers will come from the activities our local industry, members, suppliers and/or alpaca owners .... basically a sledging of all those involved, and the truth doesn't always rate very highly! A team event - where the table you are on will compete as a group. Over dinner you need to guess the answers to 10 questions - listing them on your table's response sheet, so you can use the collective heads on your table to help you win the very worthy prize!! The game is put together by local breeder Cheryl Cochrane of Nerimbera Alpacas, in order to ensure that the focus is off her!
